In the context of the implementation of a new logistic organisation in 2020, the company is currently recruiting a Supply Chain Director in order to create and optimize the centralization of the department and its processes for both plants in Engis and Wielsbeke.


Under the responsibility of the managing director, you will define & implement the Supply Chain strategy by bringing your expertise at a strategic and operational level. You are part of the management committee.

As Supply Chain Director, your responsibilities are as follows:
You develop Supply Chain strategy (warehouse, trucks loading, sales and operations planning)
• You provide strategic influence and direction to the business while ensuring operational excellence within the department
• You ensure that operations achieve all quality & safety norms
You manage the Sales & Operations Process and align with numerous stakeholders at multiple levels on the planning
• You manage inventory levels to support customer service outcomes, sales growth and you work on capital optimization
You manage the annual logistics budget
• You accomplish Logistics results by preparing annual objectives and by staying close to your internal and external stakeholders in terms of feedback, performance, expectations, opportunities, procedures & performance standards
• You lead a team of +/- 20 people
You aim to optimize costs

• You have a Master oriented Supply Chain, industrial engineer or equivalent
• You have at least 15 years of experience in a similar function
• You have proven leadership in the development and monitoring of Supply Chain processes
• You have solid management and communication skills
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit and work independently
• You are a mentor and take the time to explain to your teams the different processes
• You enjoy working in a changing environment
• You have an analytic mind combined with problem solving skills
• You have a profound experience of ERP/MRP
• You have a thorough understanding and experience with full range of business functions and systems including forecasting, warehousing, manufacturing, planning, budgeting, business analysis and sales
You have commercial acumen: ability to evaluate financial and performance indicators and understand the impact on margins/cost
You are fluent in French and English; Dutch is an important asset
